Youth Employment Programmes

Which of the Youth Employment Programmes (YEP) am I eligible for?

There are two options to consider.

 

Summer Internship Programme (SIP)

This is for High School students or those will graduate from high school in 2024 and are between 16 years of age and no older than 18 years of age as of July 1, 2024. 



Summer Employment Programme (SEP).
This is for College or University students, who are between the ages of 18 and 26 years of age. Students must be enrolled as a full-time student as of January, 2024.

 

 

How do I apply for the programme I am eligible for?

 

The below sections will help you to complete the process and successfully submit a completed application.  

 

 

SECTION A: Guidance Notes and Student Checklist - All Applicants

Read them very carefully and use the checklist to help you to keep organised.

It may look like a lot at first, but don’t worry, you can do it! Take it one step at a time.

Section B:  YEP Application Form – All Applicants

 

This must be filled out by all applicants, no matter if you are an SIP or an SEP candidate.

Section C:  Summer Internship Programme Payroll Documentation

 

If you are an SIP candidate, please fill this out. This will be essential for students who are selected for a placement, to ensure wages are paid.

If you are an SEP candidate, please fill this out. This will be essential for students who are selected for a placement, to ensure wages are paid.

SIP and SEP Job Applications will be open on The Bermuda Job Board (www.bermudajobboard.bm) from February 7, 2024 to February 23, 2024.
